DIY tip

Found this image from a do-it-yourself tip on Sunset. I’m sure we’ve all done something like this before, spray something old to make it look new. They’re only talking about the candlesticks in this instance, but these are just such fun colors together, the lime and navy…
I always try and just ignore the surface of something i find at Goodwill or Salvation Army, and focus on it’s shape because ultimately, you can do almost anything to the surface of something to make it look the way you want…as long as the foundation is there. I go in with layered glasses on that zoom into the bones of things until i find the perfect piece! These below were probably old and antiqued looking (which is sometimes a good look too, don’t get me wrong!) but with a fresh coat of colored spray paint, they are so much more mod and fresh. Like magic!

Just wanted to show some shots of a couple new items we’ve gotten in this week! We’ve enjoyed immensely the aroma of these gorgeous Paddywax candles (they’d make great gifts)….and the new Cisco Francesca bed makes us want to nap all day! We also got in a beautiful Chester tufted style sofa, which we all want for our own homes…so fun getting new things in!

Just wanted to share a few photos of some new pieces we have in the store. More is on the way, but these beautiful glass vases are ready to go! They’re thick and solid and remind me of gems. They’d be beautiful in a window with the light shining through…
