Just love this entry, so cool and inviting and friendly…chunky baskets, purposely placed “stuff”, framed photographs, pale aqua wall behind it all. So beachy and airy and light, just scrumptious! Minus the chopped wood, this evokes quite the tropical-bungalow-ish feel…
Just wanted to share a very easy way of spicing up a plain-jane bulletin board if you ever need to. I found some aqua duct tape at Target this weekend and wrapped it around the edges and it completely transformed it! Of course, duct tape at Target comes in all different colors, so you don’t need to do aqua necessarily…but it is one of the best colors!
And then, just had to share. Do you see the aqua table lamp on the desk in one of the pictures on the inspiration board? It reminded me a little of this one i found for 10$ on Craigslist and had fixed up…it’s an original 50’s lamp and had an old raffia shade with it, even more huge than this one that’s on it now! I had a Lucite base put on and a square shade, just to make it a little more funky and modern…
Head on over to House of Turquoise for more but i just had to re-post this image of an Arkansas lake home designed by Bear Hill Interiors, absolutely soooo fabulous! Perfect amount of fun and elegance, especially for a Nuuanu, Lanikai or Diamond Head home…
They use aqua, lime and white throughout the entire space but still keep it sophisticated and elegant. And be sure to pay attention to all the fun fabrics they use!
Loving the work of design firm Johnson & Mcleod, based in Vancouver Canada. We saw them on Canadian House and Home’s blog. Love they have such a modern style but it’s still so light, airy and almost beach like in some ways. They always seem to add that perfect touch of pale blue or green or teal somewhere! And a touch of rustic amidst all the modern leather. Notice they like to add bits of leather in each space?!
