Young House Love has been a So’mace favorite for a long time now. Remember when we had a contest with them and one lucky winner got a So’mace pillow? We’ve watched this beautiful family grow A LOT over the years and look forward to more fabulous-ness from them in the future!
Anyway, i was totally blown away by this ‘before and after‘ one of their readers sent in, i mean truly blown away! I couldn’t resist sharing just in case you all had missed it for some reason. The makeover cost the homeowners $1200, which is truly unbelievable for what they turned this kitchen into. I love they did it all on their own, what a fun project to work on!

This was a “house of the day” featured on the WSJ website a while back. Although the condo is a city condo, it breathes and evokes an essence of beach-ness don’t you think? I absolutely love the funkiness of its aesthetic – the pale blue walls mixed with darker blue floors (which i LOVE by the way, go gloss go!), the more contemporary kitchen mixed with Danish modern furnishings, worldly accents mixed with design classics…yet it all still feels so fresh airy and for sure lived in.
Check out the fun knobs in the bathroom too!

Wanted to share this piece we made for a client who needed a REALLY long media console! Couldn’t find exactly what they wanted anywhere so we worked with them to make it the perfect size, color and even customized where the holes for the wiring went. It was fun to be able to give someone exactly what they had been looking for, and hope it’s functional and beautiful for them for years to come.

There’s something about this room at the Yves Saint Laurent villa in Morocco…reads very island however. Love the rattan chairs.

I love this silver/white looking palm tree behind the sofa, where on earth did they find it?! The silver jar on the floor is beautiful too, and the herringbone wood floor! The pattern on the floor does make the sofa look small i think (scale of the floor is much larger than the scale of the sofa) but still adore the combo. Love also the hint of pale seaglass on the chair…
